New to Storyarn? Start by choosing the path that matches what you need to do first. You do not need to read the documentation in order; each path points you to the guides that matter for that workflow.

The core model

Storyarn projects are built from a few connected concepts:

  • Sheets hold structured world data such as characters, locations, items, stats, and flags.
  • Blocks are the typed fields inside sheets. Most blocks can become variables.
  • Flows use nodes to build dialogue, branching logic, conditions, and instructions.
  • Scenes place narrative content in spatial maps, zones, pins, and exploration flows.
  • Brainstorming sessions explore ideas together and record the decisions that change sheets, flows, and scenes.
  • Assets provide the shared image and audio library used by project content.
  • Localization extracts user-facing text so it can be translated, reviewed, and exported.
  • Export moves project content into engine-friendly formats.

If you are evaluating Storyarn for the first time, spend your first session on this sequence:

  1. Read What is Storyarn? to understand the product shape.
  2. Create a workspace and project with Create a Workspace.
  3. Build a character sheet with Your First Sheet.
  4. Build a branching dialogue with Your First Flow.
  5. Open Debug Mode when you want to verify why a branch was taken.

After that, use the sidebar by workflow: project operations in Project Management, world data in World Building, dialogue and logic in Narrative Design, spatial content in Scene Design, early exploration and decisions in Brainstorming, translation in Localization, and delivery in Export.
